Encounter the spectacular wildlife of the Serengeti, N'gorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park and spend time with the Masai in an authentic Masai village.
All safari profits are used for Art in Tanzania community programs in Tanzania. 2015 -2017 our main focus is the Children's Agenda Progam we run in coalition with UNICEF, Save the Children and other NGOs. This includes the Mama Mkubwa Project building up a village community center in Madale village in Dar es Salaam. This program focuses on Children and Women. It also includes neonatal medical and health services.

Accommodation: Transit hotel in Karatu, Seronera Wildlife lodge in Serengeti. No accommodation before and after the safari included. Please contact us for several options.
Cost: US$ 1,690 - Children less than 15 years US$ 1,420, < 5 Years US$ 400. If you select Art in Tanzania project accommodation during the safari the cost is USD 1,360 for adults.

This safari has all the great aspects of the Masai Land- N’Gorongoro Crater -Lake Manyara National Park Safari plus introduction the Masai life in authentic Masai village where Art in Tanzania has been constructing a school with the safari income. This safari combination introduces you different faunas, scenery and animal populations. Serengeti with its vast plains and wildebeest migration, N'gorongoro with the spectacular scenery and good chance to encounter rhinos and sure the flamingos, Lake Manyara being evergreen with large elephant herds and plenty or primates.
Day 1 Moshi / Masai Land (-, l, d):
The safari car starts in journey from Moshi, Kilimanjaro. We drive 3-4 hour trip to Masai Land near the town of Mto wa Mbu. A tour guide will lead you around the Masai village and provide a brief history of their nomadic lifestyle. You will also be able to visit some of our projects in the Masai village including a nursery and primary school we have constructed by the safari income, Masai warriors teaching programs, and women’s groups. You will have dinner and stay overnight at Karatu Hilltop Tourist in hotel or similar standard.
Day 2 – Saturday – Karatu/Serengeti (b, l, d):
After breakfast, the car will travel towards the N’Gorongoro Conservation Area with a short stop at the crater rim viewing point along the 4-hour journey to the Naabi Gate. When we have descended to the Great Rift Valley from N'gorongoro rim we pass by Oldupa (Olduvai) Gorge, one of most important archeological sites in the world that has been made famous by the Leakey family. After a break to have your boxed lunch, the car will enter Serengeti National Park for game viewing until 5 p.m. and then head to accommodation commonly Seronera Wildlife Lodge or similar standard depending on the season.
Day 3 – Sunday – Serengeti/N’Gorongoro (b, l, d):
We have game drive in Serengeti until about AM 11. Then passing by the Naabi gate back to N'gorogoro and we enter in the crater about PM 1. We have some 4 hours to enjoy the spectacular scenes inside the crater. We can add flamingos and with some luck rhinos to our collection of animal picks. N'gorongoro crater is also home for numbers of zebras, wildebeest, Thompson gazelles, lions, leopards and cheetah among others. When the day ends we drive back to Karatu town and accommodate in Karatu Hilltop Tourist In hotel.
Day 4 – Monday – Lake Manyara/Moshi (b, l, -):
After breakfast the car will leave by 8:30 a.m. for Lake Manyara National Park. Once inside Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara is green all year around and famous of its tree climbing lions. The car will stop at a campsite for a hot lunch and a chance to swim at the campsite pool. Around 3 p.m., the car will begin the 3-4 hour trip back to Moshi.
