Metal & Jewelry Artisan
Metal artisan work is coming popular in Tanzania. All houses are in need of security structures as window grills and gates and house/balcony fences that are commonly made of metal. The growing middle class / purchasing power has resulted for a demand of more artistic /design oriented approaches to manufacture metal household structures. The present trend is also to use metal in gardening structures.
We do also have jewelry making program and we need metal works for the jewelry specifically for to use the gem stones.

Edward has been working for Art in Tanzania for 5 years and moved to Stone Town when the house opened in 2009. He organises all the tours on the island, takes the volunteers to their projects, and makes them feel at home.
